Manufacturers face a seemingly neverending list of tasks to be performed. By outsourcing some specific tasks the manufacturer is able to focus on their core competencies without being distracted by lesser tasks.
Each company has in-house resources that make them uniquely qualified for certain tasks. In many cases, it’s better for a company to focus on those unique capabilities to drive higher profitability while outsourcing other functions.
