Why would someone decide to use Modular Building Systems vs. traditional construction? This blog post focuses on a few reasons modular building can be advantageous over traditional stick-built construction.

  • Faster installation – because Modular Building Systems are designed, engineered and produced in a factory, they can be installed much quicker than standard construction methods. Common estimates have modular building systems installed up to 50% faster than traditional construction. Modular construction allows for multiple systems (floors, walls, ceiling, etc.) to be simultaneously installed. Pre-engineered walls require no sanding or painting, so once they are installed they can be immediately put into use.
  • Higher Quality – since Modular Building Systems are manufactured in a controlled environment, they have tighter tolerances than those built in the field. Walls and other components are consistent and uniform.
  • Environmentally Friendly/ Minimal Waste – our manufacturing facilities produce exact sizes and quantities needed for the project, thereby minimizing waste. A typical site-built construction project may fill several large dumpsters, while a Modular Building system will have very little scrap. UK group WRAP estimates up to a 90% reduction in materials can be achieved by using modular construction. There is also very little dust and debris created with a modular system since nearly all of the components are pre-cut at the factory.
Modular Building Systems beat stick-build construction for many applications.
